The Calvet calorimeter

For Capable Calorimetry

Calvet calorimeters are distinguished by their innovative 3D sensors. These sensors are based on a network of thermocouples that surrounds the measuring cells, guaranteeing complete detection of the heat around the sample. Find out more here.

From this base, the Calvet calorimeter is designed as a calorimetric workstation. It can accommodate a wide variety of cells, each offering specific functions: batch, semi-batch or continuous mixing, stirring, pressure resistance, pressure measurement and regulation, etc. The possibilities are endless.

Calvet enables users to carry out precise and diversified measurements, for studies on heat capacity, mixing, transitions, reactions and decompositions of solids and liquids.

Applications

Over the years, CALVET has established itself as a benchmark in various fields of research and industry. This is particularly true in the fields of chemical engineering and the development of energetic materials.

These include studies on the efficiency and safety of chemical processes, the safe and efficient use of materials for energy storage (batteries, hydrogen, phase-change materials, etc.), the efficiency of CO2 capture and sequestration processes, the safe storage of nuclear materials and waste, and the optimization of materials such as catalysts and adsorbents.

Why is it Unique?

  • HIGHEST HEAT MEASUREMENT ACCURACY

3D sensor based on thermocouples with Joule effect calibration

  • ISOTHERMAL OR TEMPERATURE SCANNING MODES

For increased flexibility and replication of real life conditions up to 300°C

  • CONVENIENT INTERCHANGEABLE CELLS

To perform even the most demanding experiments using one instrument :
    • high pressure (up to 1000 bar) and high vacuum
    • pressure measurement and control
    • mixing/stirring experiments

  • EXTERNAL COUPLING CAPABILITY

Designed to increase your research options including manometry, BET instrumentation, gas analyzers, humidity controllers and gas panels
